November 4th Recap

Summary of Last Night's Meeting

Upcoming Events:

The North Florida Fair is in town! Members who would like to get together to attend may want to pick up their tickets from Walgreens, or simply assemble at the gate, on Thursday, November 12th about 8pm. The time may change, so keep an eye here. Emails concerning the event (if enough people are interested) will be sent out prior to the date.

CraftCraftCraft Day is coming up! November 14th is our next adventure into the more physical components of various paths. Glenn will be leading an incense workshop at Pamela & James' apartment in Berkshire manor. Invitations will be sent out via facebook with directions included. We will be meeting at Athena's Garden, an awesome herb shop located within the Railroad Square Art Park, at 6pm. Afterwards, we'll assemble back at the apartment for Potluck, Incense-making, and a viewing of The Covenant (because it starts with C and there's a shower scene.)

Book Club!
We have chosen the first book for our book club meeting: The Sweeps Series, Book One. I'll be getting together copies for those without that would like to participate. We will be meeting on November 18th in the LBGTQ Resource Center at 6pm, to discuss the book, and maybe eat some delicious cookies? We'll see.

During the meeting our impromptu geologist Silas gave an amazing overview of stones and crystals often used for magickal purposes. He also mentioned a great reference book for identifying stones and their properties: Love is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals - The Reference Book Describing the Metaphysical Properties of the Mineral Kingdom by Melody and Julianne Guilbault. Just remember, "Sometimes Melody--crazy", so read it with an open mind. It was a fascinating display of various stones from Silas' own collection. If you're interested in pursuing the topic further, let us know and we'll put you in contact with 'our guy.'

Happy Guy Fawkes Day!
